The Ohio River Trilogy

The following books are known as the Ohio River
Trilogy and are based upon actual true events involving Zane Greyfs
own ancestors, the Zanes. Betty Zane was Zane Greyfs first book
and was published using money acquired from his wifefs family.
A first edition of Betty Zane can run well over $1000 while even
the more common second edition will command almost as much.
These novels are set in the late 1700s during the opening of
the Ohio River Valley by American settlers and detail the skirmishes
and bloodthirsty warfare that occurred between the Indians (and
their British allies) and the settlers on the frontier.
