The
2001 Convention will be held in Zanesville, Ohio, the birthplace
and boyhood home of Zane Grey. We invite all members of the Zane
Greyfs West Society to attend. If you do not receive forms in the
mail, agenda and registration fee information can be obtained by

Reservations at the Holiday Inn in Zanesville, headquarters for the 2001 Convention, can be made by calling toll free at 1-888-353-8627. This is a direct line to the Holiday Inn in Zanesville. Be sure to mention that you are attending the Zane Grey convention to get the group rate of $79.01 (tax included) per night.

The following is a tentative agenda of events. Unless mentioned otherwise, all events will be at the Holiday Inn.
Monday, June 18:
Registration in the Courtyard. Auction materials in the Summit Room.
Barbecue at the National Road ? Zane Grey Museum with entertainment by the Back Porch Swing Band
Tuesday, June 19:

Keynote Address by Dr. Joe Wheeler

"An Introduction to Zane Grey" by Dr. Charles Pfeiffer

General Information
The Ohio Historical Society is sending recently acquired Zane Grey material to the National Road ?Zane Grey Museum that will be on display, and hopefully they will send along a representative to be available to answer any questions.
The museum will be open Sunday the 17th, from noon until ? for early arrivals. They will be showing Zane Grey movies all day on the big screen TV (Free popcorn?)
Stephen May, author of "Zane Grey ? Romancing the West" may be attending, and hopefully will be available to sign copies of his book. In addition, Charles Pfeiffer will be available during the convention to sign copies of his wonderful booklets.
Alan Cottrill and Charles Leasure (artist / designer and caster, respectively) of the Zane Grey statue are scheduled to meet us at the statue during our bus trip to answer questions.
Come and join us in Zanesville, and meet the greatest group of people in the world. Zanies!
