THE PREMIERE OF THE RIDERS OF THE PURPLE SAGE OPERA


Arizona Opera will be producing the world premiere of a new opera, Riders of the Purple Sage, based on Zane Grey’s famous novel. This opera is composed by Craig Bohmler, adapted by Steven Mark Kohn and features scenic sets painted by world-renowned Arizona artist Ed Mell.

We were fortunate to have Craig make a presentation at the Florida convention, providing us with fascinating details regarding his inspiration and how it all came together so fortuitously.

For those of you interested in attending the opening of the opera next February and March in Tucson and Phoenix Arizona, here are the details:

February 25th, 2017 7:30 p.m.

March 3rd, 2017 7:30 p.m.
Symphony Hall, Phoenix

You may call the Arizona Opera at 602-266-7464 (Phoenix) to purchase single performance tickets for either location. Tickets are available now if ordered by tele-
phone or online.
